Academy Rangers A soccer team, led by Pedro Aston. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Adelphi, USS*

Commanding Officer: Qin, Captain Nivor
Other comments: Her maximum speed is Warp 9.5. The Adelphi surveyed the Darnos Nebula in 2378. [The Tempus Incident] She had a close encounter with the Maquis vessel Freedom Fighter and the Awake nebula in 2371. But the fact was stricken from all the official logs. She was docked at Starbase Fourteen on Stardate 55340.9. [Awake] The Adelphi was one of five starships sent to reinforce the Horizon after an Alliance attack. Her mission was to relieve the Starstalker, so that ship could be transferred to the attack force. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Adventure, USS

Commanding Officer: Young, Captain Bill
Other Comments: The Adventure was one of five starships recalled to starbase two-six-five for re-assignment. Her previous assignment was patrolling the Cardassian border. She was re-assigned to the mirror universe by Admiral Janeway. Her new mission was to guard Terok Nor. To better do this, the ship was fitted with a cloaking device. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Aggressor A Romulan ship sent to penetrate the Awake Nebula in 2308. It was a Bird-of-Prey that was build without a warp drive. The ship fell prey to the nebula and had to been abandoned. [Awake]

Akira-Class starship Three holographic representations of a Akira-class starship were a part of the Holodeck Command test that Dorian Collins took. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Alliance Network A group of Alliance satellites. They emitted four Tachyon beams and were self replicating. The computing power of a single unit was two point five kiloquads. New Regency controlled by network by interspace signal. It was destroyed by a computer virus created Vincent Quinn. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Alpha A briefing room on Starbase Fourteen. [Awake]

Alpha 626 A Class-M planet which has ancient ruins. [The Tempus Incident]

Anderson, Dean The commander of the Maquis ship Freedom Fighter. Dean was once in Starfleet, but he quit when the Federation signed a treaty with the Cardassians. He is the twin brother of Richard Anderson. [Awake]

Anderson, Captain Richard The commanding officer of the Starship Adelphi in 2371. He succeeded Johnathan Fredericks. Richard was the first officer of the Adelphi until the battle of Wolf 359. He led his twin brother Dean and his Maquis ship escape after he had rescued them from the Awake Nebula. [Awake]

Andoria United A soccer team, lead by Voss Izar. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Appleton, Captain Paula The commanding officer of the Starship Wolf. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II] She became the commanding officer of the Starship Valdemar after the Wolf was renamed Horizon. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Aqua Victory Prime Class-M planet. The level of technology the natives have is equal to Earth in the year 1900. [The Tempus Incident]

Archer, Ensign Peter The Chief Operations Manager of the USS Horizon. Archer had an Andorian grandmother with is clearly visible because his skin is bleu. He is romantically involved with Dorian Collins. [The Tempus Incident] On stardate 55340.9, he and Dorian Collins were planning on going to watch a Fencing competition that was being held on Starbase Fourteen. But his duties prevented him from going. Suring the initial scout of the Class-M planet, Archer fell down a crack in the surface. He ended up in a cave full bats. This earned him the nickname Bruce. [Awake]

Array Zero-Five An automated sensors array at the edge of the Awake Nebula. It was number five in a series of six. The Federation put them there to gather information on the nebula with having to risk a starship. All the arrays sent their reading back to Starbase Fourteen. Array Zero-Five recorded the Aggressor’s failed attempt to penetrate the nebula and reported it to the Starbase. [Awake]

Arex, Lieutenant The Chief Tactical Officer of the Starship Trident. [Awake]

Aston, Pedro The coach of the Academy Ranger soccer team. He had a fight with Voss Izar after Wallace had landed the Ulysses on the middle of the field. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Awake Nebula A nebula in Federation space. Twenty-eight ships were lost in the nebula prior to 2308, but none of them were Starfleet. Because the Federation never sent in any ships before in 2378. The mystery of the nebula was solved when they sent in the Horizon. [Awake]

B

Barclay, Erica Mother to Reginald Barclay. She died during the Dominion attack on New Bajor. [The Tempus Incident]

Barclay, Lieutenant Reginald* Starfleet Engineer. He returned to the Starship Enterprise-E in 2378 to become an assistant chief engineer. Reg was offered the post of chief engineer on the Starship Horizon , but he declined. [The Tempus Incident]

Barclay, Doctor Thomas Father to Reginald Barclay. He was a scientist on Outpost 17 until stardate 55310.4, after which he left to teach at Starfleet Academy. His chosen subject was the Cardassians. [The Tempus Incident]

Bassic Prime The homeworld for the mirror universe Remans. It has three moons, of which the second is rich in insect life. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Beta-Team A group of engineers on the Horizon. They made modifications to the shuttle Ulysses around stardate 55375. Beta-team build a special alcove for Hugh in cargo bay fourteen. The job took them three days. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Beta-31 A Starfleet security team assigned to San Francisco. It is led a Vulcan ensign called V’Roz. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Blue Patch A Bolian bar in San Francisco. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Borg* The collective attacked Species 8472 in 2378. All their ship were armed with bio-molecular warheads. They lost a significant piece of their fleet when the planet from the Awake nebula exploded, this forced them to retreat to the Delta Quadrant. [Awake]

Borg Sphere This Borg sphere attacked the Horizon during her stay in the Awake Nebula. The Horizon destroyed it. [Awake]

Borg Resistance Cell A group of 326 former Borg Drones, led by Hugh. They crossed to the mirror universe to escape from the Collective. In 2378, they wanted to join the Terran Resistance. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II] After they joined the Terrans, the free Borg received de-assimilation treatment at the Resistance Colony. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Brevik, Captain The commanding officer of the ‘new’ Starship Horizon. He is El-Aurian. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Bruce Nickname given to Peter Archer. It is a reference to Bruce Wayne or Batman. [Awake]

C

Cairo, Ensign Crewman Starship Horizon. Cairo was part of Rogue’s away team during the initial scout of a Class-M planet in the Awake Nebula. [Awake] He was an engineer. Cairo’s hobby was botany, making his an expert on Romulan plant life. He was part of an away team sent to investigate strange readings on Romulus. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Calhoun, Captain Mackenzie The commanding officer of the Starship Excalibur-A. He fought Captain Jean-Luc Picard in a fencing match on Starbase Fourteen. Calhoun won. He had met Rogue one time before, when the latter arrived on a starbase by shuttle in 2375. Calhoun attended a meeting on Starbase Fourteen that had been organized by Admiral Janeway. [Awake]

Centurion Gamma-III A dead star. [Awake]

Clara A cat owned by Ensign Vincent Quinn. She was killed during a battle with the Alliance. Her death drove Quinn insane. Quinn put her remains in a stasis chamber, they were destroyed when Quinn hit a tank with plasma coolant [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Class-M planet A world found in the heart of the Awake Nebula. The planet orbits a star of same type as Earth’s. Next to it was a rift that led to Fluidic Space. All of its inhabitable surface covered ruins, indicating that the entire planet was once a giant city. The only exception was the planets south pole, which did hold The Complex. Her core was instable. The native race went insane after a failed experiment with Bio-matter attained from Species 8472 and all killed each other. The level of technology the natives had possessed was equal to Earth between 1910 and 1930. This planet was destroyed when it was used as a massive bomb against the Borg. [Awake]

Cochrane, Shuttlecraft A Type-9 shuttlecraft assigned to the Starship Horizon. It was part of security force sent to investigate the disappearance of a Horizon away team. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Collins, Lieutenant Junior Grade Dorian* The Chief Conn Officer of the Horizon. She is romantically involved with Peter Archer. [The Tempus Incident] On stardate 55340.9, she and Peter Archer were planning on going to watch a Fencing competition that was being held on Starbase Fourteen. But he couldn’t make it, so she asked Captain Rogue. [Awake] She commands the night-shift aboard the Horizon during the weekends. Collins took a Holodeck command test around Stardate 55360.6. She misjudged the situation, which resulted in the destruction of the Holographic version of Starbase 265 and the holographic Horizon. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] Around stardate 55375, she went with Wallace on a mission to retrieve Gary Rogue. In her Academy days, Collins was the champion at smuggling candy. Of which the possession on the Academy Campus had been outlawed. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Complex A Species 8472 installation that held a massive damping field generator. It was located under the planet’s south pole. The damping field caused many ship to be lost in the Awake Nebula. It’s power source was huge a fusion reactor. The security measures included automated weapons. [Awake]

D

 

Darnos A nebula in Federation space that is close to Outpost 17. At warp 9.5, it takes six hours to fly from the nebula to the outpost.

Dax, Ezri (Mirror)* Dax was the only senior officer of the Terran Rebellion to survive the Alliance attack of 2375. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Defiant (Mirror)* The Defiant was the only ship to survive the Alliance attack of 2375. In that year, she conducted a series of raids on minor prisons. Between 2376 and 2378, she was assigned to guard Terok Nor. But in 2378, the Defiant was relieved from that task by the starships Adventure, Cairo and Washington. This allowed her to resume attacking the Alliance. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Diplomatic Party A group of forty Romulans from the mirror universe. They crossed over to ask the Federation for help. The group was carried to starbase two-six-five by the Starship Sovereign. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Dominance, IKS A Vor’cha-class Alliance warship. It attacked the Horizon while it was escorting Hugh’s Borg Cell and the Starship Inventive. The Dominance was destroyed. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Dovz, Commander Jeryill Jeryill is the Trill first officer of the Horizon. She is also the host of the Dovz symbiont [The Tempus Incident] Dovz was a Lieutenant in 2371. At the time she served at the Chief Engineer of the Starship Adelphi. [Awake] Dovz wanted to expanded the recreational facility on the Horizon, so she came up with a plan to upgrade the cargo bays. Her plan was to use some of the created room as a swimming pool and some as a library. She tried to attend a high security briefing held at starbase two-six-five around stardate 55360. But she was caught by security. When Ogawa and Casey O’Rill were fighting over a crewman, Dovz identified the cause by questioning Benjamin O’Rill and Doctor Von. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] Around stardate 55375, she sent Collins and Wallace on mission to retrieve Gary Rogue. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II] After the loss of the Horizon, Dovz was promoted to Captain and got command of the Starship Inventive. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Enterprise-E, USS*

Commanding Officer: Picard, Captain Jean-Luc
Other comments: The sixth ship to carry the name. On Stardate 55310.4 the Enterprise arrived at Outpost 17 to tow the Horizon back to Starbase Five after her first mission. [The Tempus Incident] On Stardate 55340.9, she was docked at Starbase Fourteen for upgrades. These included a new astrometrics lab and a Delta Flyer. After the upgrades, the ship was sent to analyse a rare subspace anomaly and secure the launched of the USS Wolf. The Enterprise led a fleet sent to reinforce the Horizon after they had lowered the dampening field created by the Complex. [Awake]

Epox-DY-III A natural toxin. The toxin is created by Romulan plant life and is powerful enough to kill any flora eater. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Ericson, Peter Scientist at Outpost 17 He was Thomas Barclay’s assistant. [The Tempus Incident] 

Examiner, USS
Class: Akira
Registry Number: NCC-71582
Commanding Officer: McShaun, Captain Jennifer
Other comments: This ship was launched on stardate 55338.0. [Awake]
The Examiner was one of five starships sent to reinforce the Horizon after an Alliance attack. Her mission was to join the guard at Terok Nor. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Excalibur-A, USS
Class: Galaxy
Registry Number: NCC-26517-A
Commanding Officer: Calhoun, Captain Mackenzie
Other comments: The Excalibur was docked at the starbase closest to Aqua Victory Prime for re-supplying. in 2375. On Stardate 55340.9, she was docked at Starbase Fourteen for upgrades. These included a new astrometrics lab and a Delta Flyer. [Awake]

Farrell, Lieutenant Conn officer assigned to the Starship Adelphi. [The Tempus Incident]

Farris, Crewman Victor Crewman Starship Horizon. He was on Archer’s team during the initial scout of the Class-M planet. Farris was also on the team sent shut down the defence system build by species 8472. [Awake] His assigned post was the Ops station. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Farris, Commander Rachel The new first officer of Terok Nor. She was assigned to this post after Na was promoted to Captain and station commander. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Fisher, Commodore Thomas The commanding officer of Starbase Fourteen in 2308. [Awake]

Fleming, Ensign Conn officer assigned to the Starship Enterprise-E. [The Tempus Incident]

Fredericks, Captain Johnathan The commanding officer of the Starship Adelphi until 2367. He was the successor of Captain Darson. Fredericks died at Wolf 359. [Awake]

Freedom Fighter A Maquis vessel. It was attacked by a Galor-class ship in 2371. Several hours later the ship was almost swallowed by the Awake Nebula. [Awake]

G

 

Gamma Victor Prime Class-N planet. The sunsets there are spectacular. It is available on the Horizon holodeck. Collins and Archer used it for their fourth date. [Awake]

Garak (Mirror)* In 2375, the mirror Garak was an officer serving under Regent Worf. He was captured by the Terran Rebellion in 2375 and later killed by the Alliance. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Gleau, Lieutenant-Commander The Chief Science Officer of the Starship Trident. [Awake]

Gorn (Mirror) The Terran Resistance attempted to convinced the Gorn to join their cause at one point. They failed because the resistance looked like a thrown together bunch. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Heisenberg, USS
Class: Excelsior
Registry Number: Unknown
Commanding Officer: Walker, Captain Eric
The Heisenberg attempted to search the Civilian Starship Severn during its journey to Earth. Her attempt failed when the ship cloaked. The incident with the Heisenberg was Admiral Jellico‘s second attempt to stop Gary Rogue from exposing him. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Henson, Crewman Peter Engineer aboard the Horizon. He was assigned to the engineering station on the bridge. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Hoffman, Admiral A high ranking Starfleet official. Hoffman helped Collins, Wallace and Rogue in their plot to stop Admiral Jellico‘s plan to blackmail Kathryn Janeway. He organized a mock meeting to distract Jellico, allowing the officers to access the admiral‘s office. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Holo-Emitter, Mobile A Species 8472 device the size of a micro-torpedo. It is capable of both impulse and warp flight. They are equipped with EM-warheads. Species 8472 used thousands of these to fool an Alliance armada that was attacking Terok Nor.. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Holodeck Command Test A part of command training. This simulation involved a starship that was taken over by the Romulans and a Borg attack on Starbase 265. The proper solution was to call for help from a nearby Klingon battle group, which would help acquire the truth about the starship. Once the starship was secured, the Horizon and the Klingon battle group would have came to the aid of Starbase 265 and save it from the Borg attack. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Commanding Officer: Rogue, Captain Gary
Other Comments: Her first mission was to re-supply Outpost 17. The Horizon’s warp drive is based on a warp sled that was first tested by the Starship Excalibur-A. [The Tempus Incident] After her mission to Outpost 17, she spent several weeks doing cargo runs. But then the Horizon put in at Starbase Fourteen to receive upgrades. That work was done around stardate 55340.9. Her weapons, transporter and engines were upgraded. The Horizon’s maximum cruising speed is warp four point eight and her absolute maximum is warp five point five, which she can maintain for twelve hours. The Horizon had to rescue the USS Trident from the Awake Nebula. She unravelled the mystery of the nebula herself a little while later. [Awake] A Holographic version of the Horizon was the ship used for the Holodeck Command test taken by Dorian Collins. The test subject would take command of the starship and be given a scenario to handle. Collins failed the test and this time the Holo-ship was destroyed by a shockwave created by the destruction of Starbase 265. The Horizon was one of five starships recalled to starbase two-six-five for re-assignment. She was re-assigned to the mirror universe by Admiral Janeway. Her new assignment was to join the attack force of the Terrans, which was limited to just the Defiant. To better do this, the ship was fitted with a cloaking device. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] She was damaged when the Alliance Network was destroyed and declared a total loss. The Horizon was destroyed by a single Quantum torpedo that was fired by the USS Starstalker. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Other Comments: This Horizon was to ‘replace’ the NCC-74302 ship after it was assigned the mirror universe. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Horizon-A, USS

Commanding Officer: Rogue, Captain Gary
Other Comments: The replacement of the first Horizon. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Hugh* A former Borg drone. Hugh led his Borg Resistance cell to the mirror universe. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II] He was the only one to receive de-assimilation treatment aboard the Horizon. Before his assimilation, Hugh was called Eric Powell. He and his family lived on a colony near the Romulan Neutral Zone. Hugh (or Eric) was twelve when the colony was attacked by the Borg. He shot his brother Andrew with a phaser and put him in an escape shuttle. Soon afterwards, he was assimilated. In 2378, Hugh became romantically involved with Casey O‘Rill [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Inos, Ensign Vicky Crewman formerly assigned to Starbase Two-Six-Five. She was kidnapped from the base by Casey O’Rill and Alyssa Ogawa. Inos is now part of the Horizon medical staff. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Inos, Lieutenant Commander Paul The brother of Vicky Inos. He is the Chief Science Officer of Starbase Five and a supporter of Admiral Jellico. Inos attempted to stop Rogue and his officers, but failed. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Inventive, USS
Class: Raven
Registry Number: Unknown
Commanding Officer: Unknown
This ship was originally called the ISS Inventive. She was one of the last ships build by the Terran Empire, and had eleven class-mates. The ship’s first and last mission was to carry a group of refugees to a distant planet. It was intercepted and shot down in the Bassic system. All of her passengers were captured. Her best cruising speed is warp six and her maximum speed is warp seven point nine-five. The Inventive is armed with four phasers and one photon torpedo launcher. She was returned to the Terrans by the Reman/Bassic. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Izar, Voss The coach of the Andoria United soccer team. He had a fight with Pedro Aston after Wallace had landed the Ulysses on the middle of the field. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Izarian Xeno-flies A kind of microscopic organism. It’s harmless to humans and Aquans, but highly lethal to Bolians. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Janeway, Admiral Kathryn* Ordered the refit of the USS Horizon. [The Tempus Incident] Janeway called a meeting on Starbase Fourteen to discuss what course of action to take against the problem of the Awake Nebula. It was decided that USS Trident would be sent in, with the USS Horizon as back-up. [Awake] Janeway played a part in the Holodeck Command test taken by Dorian Collins. She, captain Manson and Captain Rogue evaluated Collins her performance afterwards. Around stardate 55360, Janeway called another meeting on starbase Two-six-five. She sent the Horizon and four other starships on a classified mission in the mirror universe. Janeway relieved Rogue from command after Ogawa and O’Rill kidnapped a crewman for Starbase Two-Six-Five. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] It later turned out that she had been blackmailed into doing so by Admiral Edward Jellico. Horizon officers Dorian Collins and Darian Wallace found evidence against Jellico and used it to force him into upgrading Outpost Tango Epsilon 7 and restoring Rogue to command. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Jennings, Lieutenant Starfleet Officer. She was in command of the Relay Station at Outpost 17. [The Tempus Incident]

Jellico, Admiral Edward* Starfleet officer in charge of Starfleet Operations in Thallonian space and Outpost Tango Epsilon 7. He tried to blackmail Admiral Janeway into removing Rogue from command. His plan back-fired when Rogue and two of his officers found evidence of the blackmail. When he still was a commander, Jellico outlawed the possession of candy on the Starfleet Academy Campus. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Jones, Crewman Starfleet officer assigned to the Starship Horizon. He was assigned to the Operations station on the bridge. Jones found large pockets of resources in the Romulan system. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] He was part of an away team sent to investigate strange readings on Romulus. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Kira Nerys (Mirror)* In 2378, Kira had succeeded Worf as Regent. She led the Alliance attack on Terok Nor. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

LaForge, Lieutenant Commander Geordi* The chief engineer of the Starship Enterprise-E. Geordi owns combadge 44371-WH-6. [The Tempus Incident]

Libby Captain Rogue’s old steam-locomotive. She was left behind on Aqua Victory Prime. Libby was the fastest steam-locomotive on the entire planet. [Awake]

MacWright, Lieutenant Thomas A Trill symbiont born in 1780. His previous host were all brilliant soldiers that gained the Trill and, later, the Federation many victories. But his present host Thomas is the chief science officer of the Horizon. [The Tempus Incident] Cindor was MacWright’s first host. She was a amateur botanist in peace time. Thom went on an away mission to shut down a defence system built by Species 8472 .[Awake] MacWright’s host in 2063 was called Jaron. He was half of a twin. Jaron killed his evil twin brother Zal in 2063. His forces were nearly overrun by Zal’s during the fight. This was MacWright’s only defeat ever. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] He was part of an away team sent to investigate strange readings on Romulus. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III] MacWright, Zal MacWright’s evil twin. He was killed by his brother in 2063. His forces nearly overran his brother’s. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Manson, Captain Henry The commanding officer of the Starship Sovereign. Manson played a part in the Holodeck Command test taken by Dorian Collins. He, Admiral Janeway and Captain Rogue evaluated Collins her performance afterwards. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

McLean, Captain Victoria The commanding officer of the Starship Washington. She attended a briefing held on Starbase Two-Six-Five around stardate 55360. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

McNeall, Ensign Tactical officer assigned to the Starship Adelphi. [The Tempus Incident] Later, he was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to the Starstalker as chief Tactical officer. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

McReilly, Crewman Thomas Engineer assigned to the Starship Enterprise. McReilly is part of the maintenance crew for deck twelve. His quarters are on deck fourteen. [The Tempus Incident]

Ogawa, Lieutenant Commander Alyssa* The Chief Medical Officer of the Horizon. [The Tempus Incident] She is a close fiend of Casey O’Rill. Alyssa likes to read Jules Verne. Ogawa was the only officer who didn‘t beam down to the Class-M planet during the initial scouting. She wrote a biological report on the natives. Opar, Lieutenant Second Class A Reman officer. Opar was in charge of the Reman group that returned the Starship Inventive to the Terrans. He told Dovz that they were returning the vessel because it leaked radiation. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II] Opar was the leader of the Reman half of the conspiracy to develop a trilithium weapon for use against the Alliance. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

O’Rill, Benjamin The barkeep of the Horizon. He is Casey’s only brother. All the other O’Rill children are girls. [Awake] When Casey O’Rill and Ogawa were fighting over a crewman, he was Dovz’s source of information. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

O’Rill, Lieutenant Casey The Chief Engineer of the Horizon. She was responsible for the upgrades the ship received at Starbase Fourteen. O’Rill is close friends of Alyssa Ogawa. Casey is Bolian and has eleven sisters and one brother. Her brother is called Benjamin. O‘Rill went on an away mission to shut down a defence system build by Species 8472. [Awake] She was assigned to check the practically of building a swimming pool and library aboard the Horizon. Around stardate 55360, she had a disagreement with Ogawa over personnel. Picard, Captain Jean-Luc The commanding officer of the Starship Enterprise-E. He fought Captain Mackenzie Calhoun in a fencing match on Starbase Fourteen. Picard lost the match. He had taught Captain Rogue fencing. Picard attended a meeting on starbase Fourteen that had been organized by Admiral Janeway. Point Delta A navigational reference inside the Awake Nebula. Prior to 2378, this was the farthest any ship had ever penetrate into the nebula. [Awake]

Point Epsilon A navigational reference inside the Awake Nebula. It was created by the crew of the Horizon to mark the point where the Freedom Fighter had been grabbed by a tractor beam. [Awake]

Powell, Commander Andrew* Andrew Powell is Alyssa Ogawa’s husband, and Hugh’s brother. When he was fifteen, Andrew lived on a colony close to the Romulan Neutral Zone. His colony was attacked by the Borg. Andrew was stunned by his brother and put in an escape shuttle. He and Ogawa had one child, Erica. Andrew visited the Horizon in 2378. Later, he was promoted to Commander and became the first officer of the Starship Inventive. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Powell, Erica The daughter of Andrew Powell and Alyssa Ogawa. She was eight years old in 2378. Erica was named after Eric Powell or Hugh. She visited the Horizon in 2378. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

P’R’Ozl, Commander The commander of a Species 8472 battalion. His battalion was sent to investigate the arrival of the Horizon. He died when his ship was destroyed by the Borg. [Awake]

Purple Moon, Feast of A Trill celebration that last three days. It memorised the planet’s moon passing the equator. The moon would turn purple because of the atmospheric conditions. It was long honoured after 1855. [Awake]

Qin, Captain Nivor The present commanding officer of the Starship Adelphi. [The Tempus Incident] He succeeded Captain Richard Anderson. Qin attended a meeting on starbase Fourteen that had been organized by Admiral Janeway. He suggested that the Trident be sent in. [Awake]

Quinn, Ensign Crewman assigned to the Starship Horizon. He had a cat, but it died during a battle with the Alliance. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] The loss drove Quinn into insanity. He gave Vreenak trilithium research information, and was responsible for the creation of a computer virus. This virus destroyed the Alliance Network and forty Alliance ships. His first name is Vincent. Quinn was killed when he shot a tank of plasma coolant. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Regency One A Negh’Var-class warship belonging to the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. It was commanded by Regent Worf until 2375, when it was captured by the Terran Rebellion. The ship was later destroyed by the Alliance. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Remans (Mirror) The Remans are called the Bassic in the mirror universe. They do not live on Remus, but in a nearby star system. Their level of technology is equal to Earth in 2005. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Resistance Colony A Class-M moon in the Romulan system. The Resistance set up colony there after station Terok Nor had become to small to hold them. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] The colony’s power source was a Mark-V-B fusion reactor. It was upgraded to a Mark-V-E after the Alliance attack. Originally, the colony’s defences were just shields. They were upgraded by refitting the shields emitters and installing ten heavy disruptors. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Rift A passage between normal and fluidic space. It was created by Species 8472 in 2300 and collapsed by the Borg in 2378. [Awake]

Rodriguez, Crewman Harry Engineer assigned to the Starship Enterprise. Rodriguez is part of the maintenance crew for deck twelve. His quarters are on deck fourteen. [The Tempus Incident]

Rogue, Captain Gary The commanding officer of the Horizon. Rogue was born in 2352 on Aqua Victory Prime. He left his planet in 2375. His old job was driving a steam-locomotive. [The Tempus Incident] Rogue accompanied Dorian Collins at a fencing competition at Starbase Fourteen on Stardate 55340.9. He does some fencing himself. Jean-Luc Picard taught him the sport. He attended a meeting on the starbase that had been organized by Admiral Kathryn Janeway. His command code was Rogue-Gamma-Delta-1267-Yellowstone. [Awake] Rogue played a part in the Holodeck Command test taken by Dorian Collins. He, captain Manson and Admiral Janeway evaluated Collins her performance afterwards. Rogue ‘suggested’ that Ogawa and O’Rill should solve their personnel problem by kidnapping a crewman. He was relieved of command by Admiral Janeway after Ogawa and O’Rill followed his ‘suggestion’. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] After his removal from command, he was assigned to Starbase Five as First Officer. His quarter on the base were on level ten, in section 2-C. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II] Rogue resumed command of the Horizon after Admiral Jellico’s plans were stopped. He led an away team to Romulus after strange readings were found there. Rogue, Captain Gary (Mirror) The mirror Rogue defected to the Alliance. He gave them the coordinates for Terok Nor and the Resistance Colony. Rogue was in command of Terok Nor prior to his defection. His reward for helping the Alliance was command of the New Regency. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]  Later, Rogue was promoted to commodore and led another Alliance attack on the Terran Resistance. He escaped the destruction of the Alliance fleet because he was aboard his private shuttle. Rogue took his shuttle after the Reman Valdore-class ship, to the N-42 system. He was killed when he fired the trilithium torpedo by remote. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Rogue, Shuttlecraft A Type-9 shuttle that crashed on Aqua Victory Prime in 2375. It was repaired by Gary and flown back to the nearest starbase. [The Tempus Incident]

Romulans (Mirror)* The mirror universe Romulans were primitive until 2376. In that year they joined the Terran Rebellion in their fight against the Alliance. The Terran were give permission to colonize a moon in the Romulan system. In return, the Romulans were give advanced technology. They live on two planets: Romulus Three and Remus Two. These Romulans were banished from Vulcan because they followed the peaceful teaching of Surak. They founded two separate nations at first, but in 2178 the two became one again. This was made possible by the invention of the impulse drive. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] The Romulans began trading with the Terrans in 2373. They began construction of ten warbird the year after. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II] Later, Rogue was promoted to commodore and led another Alliance attack on the Terran Resistance. Saro, Captain Captain Rogue’s replacement. She was a one-hundred-and-fifty years old Vulcan female. Her eyes were green. Saro was killed during a battle with the Alliance. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

Severn, SS A Merchantman-class ship with a maximum speed of warp seven. She is armed with three forward lasers. The Severn is also equipped with a cloaking device. Rogue, Wallace and Collins used this ship to get Earth. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Shelby, Captain Elizabeth The commanding officer of the Starship Trident. She and Rogue met for the first time on Starbase Fourteen. They didn’t get along. She attended a meeting on starbase Fourteen that had been organized by Admiral Janeway. [Awake]

Sovereign, USS

Other Comments: The Sovereign was part of the Holodeck Command test taken by Dorian Collins around stardate 55360.6. In the simulation, the ship was assigned to patrol the Romulan Neutral Zone. It suddenly turned up near starbase two-six-five carrying a large number of Romulans and a only a skeleton crew. This is made it seem like the ship was taken over by Romulans, which was not true. The Sovereign had secret orders to carry a large group of Romulans to the starbase. In real life, she carried forty Romulans to starbase 265 and those were on a diplomatic mission for the Nimbus system. She arrived at the base several days before the Horizon did. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] The Sovereign was one of five starships sent to reinforce the Horizon after an Alliance attack. Her mission was to relieve the Starstalker, so that ship could be transferred to the attack force. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II] The Sovereign served as the rescue vessel for the Wolf after she took damage. It warped to the N-42 system and chased a Valdore-class ship out. She lost track of the ship when it cloaked. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Species 8472* Species 8472 opened a rift to normal space in the heart of the Awake Nebula in 2300. They began trading with the natives of a nearby Class-M planet and continued to do so until 2355, after which they left. Species 8472 was responsible for construction of a defence system that included a dampening field and long-range tractor beam on the planet. They sent a patrol through the rift to responded to the arrival of the Horizon. Species 8472 was attacked by with Borg in 2378. [Awake] They later saved the Horizon from an Alliance armada. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II]

Starbase Five Site of the refit of the USS Horizon. The closest starbase to Outpost 17. However, the distance between them is still sixty-two pint seven lightyears. It is commanded by Admiral Peter Zhukov. [The Tempus Incident] The starbase has eight shuttlebays, of which E is least used. Rogue served as its first officer for a while. Starbase Fourteen* This starbase is the closest to the Awake Nebula. The sector that holds both the nebula and the starbase became Federation space in 2310. Starbase Fourteen was attacked by Tholians in 2308. It monitors the nebula with a network of automated sensor arrays. The base has an enormous gymnasium, which includes a fencing area and at least one tribune. [Awake]

Starbase Sixteen A Spacedock class station in orbit of Earth Colony Three. It orbits the planet in about one day. [The Tempus Incident]

Starbase Two-Six-Five A Type-II starbase. Her main power is source are three matter-/anti-matter reactors and her secondary power source are eight large fusion reactors. The starbase was part of a Holodeck command test taken by Dorian Collins. In the simulation, it was the Horizon’s set destination. When Collins took the test, it was destroyed by a Borg cube. Around stardate 55360, it was the site of a briefing that had been organized by Admiral Kathryn Janeway. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I]

To better do this, the ship was fitted with a cloaking device. The Starstalker preformed Tachyon scans of Reman system and found large pocket of resources. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] She was relieved of her duties in the Reman systems by three new starships after an Alliance attack. And transferred to the attack force. [Into a Shattered Place, Part II] The Starstalker served as the rescue vessel for the Horizon after she took damage. It warped to the N-42 system and chased a Valdore-class ship out. Southern Blossom A steam-locomotive native to Aqua Victory Prime. This locomotive once got stuck in a tunnel and had to be pulled out by Gary Rogue and his locomotive Libby. She was bigger than Rogue’s locomotive. [Awake]

Takaro, Ensign A security officer assigned to the Starship Horizon. She crewed the Tactical station during Wallace’s absence. Terok Nor (Mirror)* In 2375, the station was fitted with a cloaking device. She became to small to hold the Terran resistance in that year. It was moved to the Romulan system in 2376. Thomas, Ensign Engineer assigned to the Starship Enterprise-E. He is posted a one of the engineering stations on the bridge. [The Tempus Incident]

Vanallis-Thorium An element that blocks most sensor scans. Tachyon scans are among one of the few that scans can that penetrate this element. [Into a Shattered Place, Part I] The element can be processed to form a sensor blocking tile. One of these tiles was found in the Horizon swimming pool. And a secret Romulan trilithium research base was lined with these tiles to keep it from being detected. [Into a Shattered Place, Part III]

Zhukov, Admiral Peter The commanding officer of Starbase five. Zhukov is the youngest Admiral in Starfleet history. And he is considered a rebel by his rank-mates. The Zhukov family was a long line of engineers, until Peter decided to go for command.
